Taking dogs on holiday to Bigbury, Devon. Can you recommend any nice walks?

I am looking for safe parks, fields, dunes etc, where I can have my dogs off lead playing with frisbees and balls, and walks which are not heavily populated with tourists (yes, I know I am one).

Also any info on dog friendly beaches and pubs around the area would be very helpful.

Thank you in advance!

There are some lovely beaches in Devon use this link for directions and details of restrictions

  1. Its been a while but if you are staying on the caravan site or in the chelets – the coastal path to the right as you are looking at the sea goes over the cliffs – not good if you dont like heights! – and leads to a further cover along the coast – its not fully enclosed but is fairly remote if you then follow the path off the back of that it leads to the village above where the pub is very dog friendly.
A few people on dogpages.org.uk live round that area so it might be worth asking on there
    Enjoy your hols

  2. You might want to buy one of the Pathfinder books – they do one for South Devon & Dartmoor – which covers the area you are referring to. These books are very handy. Also try the link below – they give lots of handy hints & tips. Good luck.
