Do i have to pay for my dog to stay or only if he does something bad?

Posted in Pet friendly holiday on October 25th, 2009 by Chris Swaap – 8 Comments

OK im staying at a hotel but i have a dog and his name is Louie his my life i love him with all my heart so the hotel im staying at is called Holiday Inn El Tropicano River walk and i went to a website that said its a pet friendly hotel but then is says this

Pets welcome, with Guests’ accepting responsibility for noise and/or damage.$125.00 Deposit. $25 nonrefundable

Does that mean i have to pay for him or only when he rips something up or what? Please help me and Thank You for every1 that post an answer.

it means that you are technically paying $25 for him to stay with you in the hotel. They are taking $125 as a deposit, in case he destroys something .They want the money a head of time so people do not refuse to pay if their pet ruins something(the hotel already has your money).

Trick or Treating for Pets?

Posted in Pet friendly holiday on October 22nd, 2009 by Chris Swaap – 3 Comments

I was wondering if anyone else has thought of pets going trick or treating. More specifically, if anyone thinks that neighborhoods having "pet friendly" houses where dogs and cats could go tricking or treating for goodies. I love getting my dog involved in the holidays. Halloween has become one of my favorites and want to do something with him. What are your opinions on this?

Good idea…but maybe you can plan it in advance so that people can volunteer to sign up and then you can distribute the list to your neighborhood. Maybe you should narrow it down and just have a few households participate and exchange with each other so it won’t be so much work. A mixer would be nice.

Taking dogs on holiday to Bigbury, Devon. Can you recommend any nice walks?

Posted in Pet friendly cottage on October 22nd, 2009 by Chris Swaap – 4 Comments

I am looking for safe parks, fields, dunes etc, where I can have my dogs off lead playing with frisbees and balls, and walks which are not heavily populated with tourists (yes, I know I am one).

Also any info on dog friendly beaches and pubs around the area would be very helpful.

Thank you in advance!

There are some lovely beaches in Devon use this link for directions and details of restrictions
